Shakespeare Comes to town square
North Dakota Shakespeare is kicking off its summer performances in town square
The production is Twelfth Night--a comedy about mistaken identity.
GRAND FORKS, ND (WDAZ-TV)--The whole show is outside, like it was originally meant to be performed.
If you've never given shakespeare a chance, the actor's say this is place to do it.
"People read it in school and it's not meant to be read"
"No it's meant to be performed or to be seen"
"Yeah it's meant to be heard! So they have all these ideas based on reading it on the page and it doesn't come to life until you see it,” say Rachel Schmeling & Sydney Berk, Actresses.
The show runs every night through Saturday - starting at 7.
There's a matinee at 2pm on sunday
It is free and open to the public.
