GRAND FORKS, ND (WDAZ)--Sometimes one kind act will bring about another, and on Tuesday, it did.

You may remember the story of Don Roberts--he’s the retired marine who took it upon himself to raise nearly 50 thousand dollars to send veterans on the WDAY/WDAZ Honor Flight, after he got the chance to take the once-in-a-lifetime trip.

Greg Norman of North Valley Crematory remembered, and said his company wanted to do something, too.

On Tuesday, Norman stopped by WDAZ to drop off  a five hundred dollar check.

Norman said he grew up in the Vietnam era, and said he’s happy to see so much support for the local vets.

"We're discovering as a nation, our best. And the veterans are our best,” said Greg Norman, of Norman Valley Crematory.
